Preferred Electrical Contractors was founded in 1997. We employ a team of highly qualified electricians as well as one full-time material handler. Preferred Electrical Contractors is a self - Preferred Electrical Contractors, Inc. was formed as a corporation under the laws of the State of Wisconsin on August 1, 1977. Joseph (Toby) Mei, a registered Professional Engineer, and Peter Crapitto, a State Certified Master Electrician, founded the company and remain as active partners at this time. In 2000, Eric Ehlers joined the company as project manager and, eventually, partner. As of 8/1/2008, Eric has become sole owner and President of the company. Preferred Electrical Contractors, Inc. currently employs between 30 to 40 electricians with three (3) full-time service trucks. We employ one full-time material handler to expedite tool distribution and material delivery to job-sites. Our current tooling and equipment will support approximately 50 men. We maintain a core of qualified foremen and journeymen with over half our crew having over 18 years service with us. Office:
• AutoCAD capable through AutoCAD 2009
• Plotting for drawings in black and white or color,
AutoCAD or PDF format, and up to 42” paper
• Copier capacity for drawings up to 42”
Field Office:
• All foremen have cell phones for on-site contacts
• For design/build projects, foremen are supplied
with laptop computer, e-mail, printer, and wireless
card to facilitate communication and prompt
resolution of requests from office, owner, or
general contractor.
